Any time you are engaged in any kind of giving as a for-profit company, you are subject to commercial co-venturer laws and need what’s known as a commercial co-venture (CCV) agreement.
More than 19 states have special regulations governing these things (language requirements, disclosures, etc.).
To remain compliant, brands are required to register seven states for each nonprofit you support. Additionally, each nonprofit you support is required to register in 14 states.
